Justyna Borkowska-Rozanska – Head Veterinary Surgeon
I have always wanted to be a Vet, ever since I was 8 years old. I studied in Warsaw, Poland, where I obtained my MRCVS and DMV qualifications. I then worked in the UK for 8 years in various different veterinary practices. I enjoy every aspect of my job and my special interests are in ultrasound and cardiology. At home, I have a dog, Phoebe, who is a Sloughi-greyhound cross. I also have two cats; Azur, who is a British shorthair and Saphir who is a Russian Blue. Outside of work, I enjoy doing crafts such as card making, painting cups and plates, and sewing collars for my pets.
Jo – Head Nurse
I qualified in 2011 after a career change. Then, in 2014 I completed a certificate in Emergency and Critical Care. Before joining Medivet, I locummed and worked in emergency/out of hours. I am very interested in working in emergency and critical care situations, as well as feline medicine (I am a crazy cat lady!). I have collected cats from various practices; the current total is four, all with their own unique personalities. Outside of work I enjoy dancing, travelling, and inline skating.
Kimberly Packard – Patient Care Assistant
I qualified in 2009 with a BSc in Animal Science from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. I have a bit of a colourful background. I have worked on a fish farm in Australia, worked tagging turtles on a conservation project in Costa Rica (volunteering), and have worked in retail. I am very interested in physiology and anatomy. Sadly I do not have any pets at home because I rent (hopefully that will change soon!). However, back in South Africa, I have a pack of six very happy dogs, two cats, and a farm of sheep and chickens! Outside of work, I enjoy long walks outside, swimming, and a good challenging puzzle. I also enjoy photography and love visiting South Africa (home) for a bit of African wildlife.
Tara Egan – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
I studied Level Three Health and Social Care at college and gained a pass in the National Diploma. However, I decided I wanted to look after animals instead, so I went back to college to study Level Three Animal Management (Extended National Diploma and gained a distinction). Before joining Medivet, I was working at a local pub whilst studying. I love animals, and I love caring for them. I also enjoy meeting new people and gaining new experiences. At home, I have a very cheeky English Bull Terrier who keeps me on my toes. I have also got a gorgeous Arabian horse. I love all strains of equestrian games however, in my eyes there is nothing better than going out for a relaxing hack after a hard day’s work!
Karina Theseira – Patient Care Assistant
Before joining Medivet, I worked for the Conservations Volunteers working with volunteer groups to complete conservation tasks. I then worked as a warden for Natural England raising awareness of Annex 1 ground nesting birds. My special interests lie within conservation and public engagement. At home I have a Roborovski hamster called Tyrion. In my spare time I enjoy going for walks, reading knitting, cooking and Jujitsu.
Vanessa Jones - Client Care Assistant
I have always wanted a job working with animals, and have enjoyed working at Medivet Reading since early 2007. It is a very varied job with no two days the same. At home I have a Labradinger (Labrador x Springer) called Nero, who is of course full of beans and takes up a lot of my spare time. When I am not working I'm always on the lookout for new places to walk and going to gigs with my boyfriend.
Adi Nell - Senior Partner and Head of Professional Relations
I graduated in 1992 and gained my Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology in 1998. I have worked as an assistant, locummed for over five years and ran a dermatology referral practice. I was the Resident in Dermatology at the Animal Health Trust and spent time at Cambridge Vet School, too. I joined Medivet in 2002 as a Partner in Hayes, and moved into the senior partnership later that year. I am very active in representing Medivet to the wider profession and have served on BVA Committees and as President of the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons.
Louise Ronan - Senior Area Manager
I've been one of Medivet's Area Managers since 2009. Prior to working for Medivet I spent 15 years in veterinary practice. I did my veterinary nurse training in Essex and then moved to Oxford to work as a qualified nurse before being promoted to head nurse at a veterinary practice in Wantage. Whilst there I acheived a Diploma in Management Studies but was unable to utilise my new found skills fully. Luckily for me, Medivet bought my practice and the current area manager was retiring so I was able to step into her role. I now look after branches in Oxford, Coventry and Reading and work with wonderful, caring teams in all areas. At home I live with my partner Shawn, three chickens and two tortoises. I've only been a chicken owner for a couple of years but there is a real danger of me turning into a crazy chicken lady as I absolutely adore them!
