Meet the Medivet Canvey Island Team

Welcome to our team at Medivet Canvey Island. We aim to deliver the highest standards of veterinary care with a personal and caring attitude. We remain dedicated to providing services of the highest standards in a sympathetic, friendly and reassuring manner.

Veterinary Surgeons

Lizzie KingLizzie Kwint - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary college and have worked for Medivet since then. I have a keen interest in orthopaedics, reconstructive surgery and exotic animals including reptiles, birds and small furries. I have a welsh springer called Rupert and two naughty cats called Tiny cat and MK. MK is special as he has no hips.

Agnieszka Janas - Veterinary SurgeonAgnieszka Janas - Vet Float

I graduated in 2008 and joined Medivet in November 2014 working across a selection of Medivet practices around the Essex area. Before joining Medivet I worked at a small animal practice in Poland. In February 2016 I became a permanent vet at Canvey Island. Outside of work I enjoy listening to progressive rock music and skiing. 

Nursing Team

Amy AllgoodAmy Allgood - Head Veterinary Nurse

I have always had an interest in animals and grew up on a farm in Suffolk. After completing my A-levels in biology, chemistry, maths and physics, I decided that pursuing a career in the veterinary industry was the right choice for me. I have worked at Medivet for nealy 10 years. I have a Bullmastiff called Trigger and an African tortoise called Peewee.

I started working for Medivet in October 2009, after achieving a Diploma in animal science at South East Essex College. I have recently qualified after 3 years at college. I enjoy watching the operations and caring for the in-patients. I have a corn snake called Ollie and a hermann tortoise called Summer.

I went to Writtle college to study the level 3 Animal Management course for 2 years. I really enjoyed working with the animals there and found that veterinary nursing is the job for me. I hope to study and go on to start my training with Medivet.

Kayleigh BowenKayleigh Bowen - Patient Care Assistant

I am just finishing my veterinary care assistant course and looking forward to becoming a verterinary nurse. I have two german shepherds that are like my children, and cause a lot of trouble. 

Raeanne Parker - PCARaeanne Parker – Patient Care Assistant

I qualified in 2014 from South East Essex College where I received a level 2 and 3 in beauty therapy. Before joining the Medivet family, I assisted in a Big 5 conservation project in South Africa where we looked after orphan animals and assisted the vet with his daily duties. At home I have 3 gorgeous cats and 2 goldfish. In my spare time I enjoy adventurous activities and spending time with friends. 

Nicole StevensNicole Stevens – Patient Care Assistant

I have an extended diploma in animal management and I am excited to now join Medivet as a patient care assistant. I am particularly interested in dogs and cats as well as surgery. I have a Westie dog called Buddy. In my spare time I enjoy meeting friends and caring for my pets.
