Serena Scognamiglio – Mobile Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified in July 2012 in Naples Italy. Soon after completing my degree, I volunteered at a wildlife rescue centre in Naples. I have a particular interest in exotic pets. I am also interested in alternative medicine. I enjoy reading mainly thriller and horror books, watching TV, and cooking in my spare time.
Francesca Liang Mei Tee – Mobile Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated from the University of Glasgow in July this year with a BVSc in Veterinary Science. Before joining Medivet I had many amazing placement opportunities while I was studying for my degree which I am very thankful for! I have a soft spot for small furries and am really interested in veterinary oncology and possibly surgery in the future. I hope to have pets one day soon! Outside of work I enjoy reading, horseback riding, playing the keyboard and meeting friends for potluck dinners.
Arnaud Jouve – Mobile Resident Veterinary Surgeon
I hold a Masters’ degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Liege. My special interests lie within small animals and exotic animals. At home, I have a very nice blind cat called Gateta. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and playing sports.
Laura Raucea – Mobile Veterinary Surgeon
In 2015, I qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, Romania. Before joining Medivet, I volunteered for veterinary practices in Romania and the UK. I’m particularly interested in emergency and critical care, soft tissue surgery and ultrasound. Unfortunately, I do not have any pets in the UK but whenever I call my parents in Romania, I always ask after my three cats and two dogs first! In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, skiing, outdoor walks, and travelling.
Begona Pons Gil – Mobile Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2010 and studied at the UCH-CEU Cardinal Herrera University in Valencia. Before joining Medivet, I worked as a veterinary surgeon at different referral hospitals in Spain for small animals. I am particularly interested in oncology, and have two German Shepherds, a Shih Tzu and a lovebird at home. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dogs and travelling with my friends.
Andrew Teh – Mobile Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2015 from the Royal Veterinary College with a BVetMed. I am originally from the sunny island of Singapore. I am particularly interested in exotic animals, neurology and diagnostic imaging. I have a dog back in Singapore. Outside of work, I enjoy relaxing, watching TV and playing video games.
Steffi Galt – Mobile Resident Veterinary Surgeon
I obtained my BSc sp Animal Health and Disease from McGill University 2012, and completed my BVM&S MRCVS from Edinburgh University in 2016. I love surgery and ECC. At home, I have a beautiful Blue Merle Border Collie named Skyler. He is two years old and the love of my life! In my spare time, I really enjoy doing anything outdoors- hikes, running, camping. I love going out, meeting new people and seeing new places.
Danni Ives – Mobile Veterinary Nurse
I qualified with Medivet in April 2015 and also obtained an NVQ 2 in Equine Management. Before qualifying, I worked at several different practices in the area. I have a special interest in medical nursing and exotic patients, but I have a real passion for rabbits! At home, I have two Lion Head and Lop Eared rabbits called Diego and Delilah, as well as two tortoise; a Gilbert White called Herbie and a Hermann called Bramble. My hobbies include scuba diving, horse riding, cooking, dog walking and reading.
Zoe Easdon - Mobile Student Veterinary Nurse
I have a little boy called Zayne and a Cockapoo puppy called Marley - I enjoy taking them both to the park in my spare time. I am a keen athlete, as well as a qualified lifeguard.
Zoe Meen - Mobile Student Veterinary Nurse
I completed a Level 3 Animal Management Extended Diploma, worked in a pet store for two years, and I have completed work experience at Colchester Zoo and vet practices. I hope to qualify at Medivet and progress to working with exotic animals.
Jessica Cross-Snell – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
I have a National Diploma in Animal Management from Sparsholt College in Hampshire. I also have a Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Animal Management and Behaviour from the University of Hull. Before joining Medivet, I worked as an animal re-homer and veterinary assistant for charities. I also worked for a digital advertising and marketing company. I am particularly interested in both behavioural studies and management. At home, I currently have a fish but previously had dogs, cats, mice, hamsters, spiders and sheep. In my spare time, I love reading and going to concerts! When I am not reading, I am usually out with friends or running for charity.
Jade Heath – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
I have a Level Two in Animal Nursing from Easton & Otley College. Before joining Medivet, I completed a music journalism degree before realising I wanted to follow my childhood dream of a veterinary career. My special area of interest is canine care and behaviour. At home, my boyfriend and I have lots of hamsters between us! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, walking and exploring the countryside.
Michelle Lyndon Williams – Student Veterinary Nurse
I completed my Art and Design extended diploma in June 2013. I have previous work experience working at B&Q as I volunteered at Colchester Zoo. At home, I have many pets of my own! I have 5 cats, 2 dogs, a rabbit and a budgie. I am really enjoying my role at Medivet, I am gaining valuable veterinary practice experience, and love helping to care for your pets. I enjoy many exciting hobbies including sky diving, bungee jumping and archery in my free time.
Megan Obeney – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
Before joining Medivet, I was completing my A-Levels at Great Baddow high school in Chelmsford, where I studied psychology, history and ICT. At home, I have a Boxer dog called Bella and two fish. In my spare time, I enjoy socialising with my friends and shopping.
Naomi Scott – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
I obtained my GCSE’s at Adcote School For Girls. Before working for Medivet, I was working in Aldi Supermarket where my main focus was customer service. At home I have an adorable six month old mini Lop House rabbit, called Hector. In my free time I enjoy horse riding, cooking and travelling.
Sarah Jay – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
I obtained my Performance and Dance Teaching from the Imperial Society Teachers of Dance (at Centre PAC). I also completed a Personal Training Diploma, Level Three. Before joining the Medivet family, I was a personal trainer and dance teacher. My special areas of interest relates to the anatomy and physiology of animals. I have two Ragdoll cats, one is a Seal Point and the other is a Silver Lynx. They are called Bertie and Binka. Outside of work I love to go to the gym, dance and spend time with my cats and husband.
Emma Louise Whiting - Mobile Patient Care Assistant
I joined Medivet in November 2014. I have a passion for all animals, at home I have two dogs, seven guinea pigs and a horse. In my spare time I enjoy horse riding and walking my dogs.
Cherie Wooder– Mobile Patient Care Assistant
Before joining Medivet, I was working as a supervisor in a convenience supermarket. I am looking forward to training towards becoming a veterinary nurse. I enjoy working with animals that need care and helping them. At home, I have Scruff & Sweep, two miniature Yorkshire terriers. Outside of work, I spend time with my daughter and husband - we like going to parks and woods to explore with animals.
Stephanie Belcher – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
I have a Level Three Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Writtle College, Chelmsford, where I achieved a distinction. Before joining Medivet, I had a day job working at Greggs and an evening job working as a kennel assistant, at a cancer referral vets. I love my role at Medivet, particularly being able to help with patient aftercare. At home, I have an eight year old Lurchur called Molly who is a rescue dog. Outside of work, I love netball and have played for eight years. I enjoy playing once a week with my local team.
Leanne Reed – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
I have a level 3 diploma in Animal Management from Writtle College in 2014. I also completed an intermediate apprenticeship in horse care. Before joining Medivet, I worked as a groom at a livery yard. My special areas of interest lie in animal behaviour and body language. At home I have a German Shepherd X Rottweiler called Bouncer and a British short haired cat called Digby. Outside of work I enjoy helping with horse care and horse-riding.
Lauren Julia Bull – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Animal Management and Welfare from Lincoln University. I have previous experience within veterinary practices and a wildlife hospital that I hope to build upon with Medivet. I have a special interest in small animals, anatomy and physiology and nutrition. In my spare time, I enjoy playing guitar, going to the gym, kayaking, going to festivals and arts and crafts.
Chloe Marriot – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
Before joining Medivet, I was working at Riverside Veterinary Group and did work experience at my local stables. I am a huge dog lover and I enjoy caring for dogs. At home, I have a Labrador called Lucy and a Cocker Spaniel called Ted. In my spare time, I am a musician and love 50’s and 60’s blues and soul music. I am also part of a band who enjoy doing gigs.
Emma Sonnenberg – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
I achieved 2:1 in my BSc Biology degree from the Univeristy of Nottingham and graduated in July 2016. Before joining Medivet I worked part-time whilst studying for my degree. At home, I have a beautiful Golden Retriever named Poppy. Outside of work I love to dance; mainly tap, street, modern and ballet. I also enjoy writing. I’m excited to begin my new career with Medivet and I can’t wait to learn anything about everything, and further my education within the veterinary industry.
Sally- Ann Smith – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
Before joining Medivet, I worked in a sports shop specialising in the horse riding department. At home, I have a French Bulldog called Nala, a Hermann tortoise called Herman and a bay Thoroughbred horse called Toby. I also have a silky chicken called Oreo and a Shetland pony called Billy who I’ve had since I was 4! In my spare time, I love taking my horse out for hacks and taking my dog for walk.
Elizabeth Wood – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
I graduated from the University of Sussex in 2011 with a BSc in Biology. I studied Art, Biology and Chemistry for A Levels and have GCSEs. Before joining Medivet, I worked as a chef. I love cats but have also developed a fondness for dogs and would love to have one of my own. I am excited to learn from the team at Medivet and discover areas which most interest me. I have 3 beloved cats at home called Misty, Frosty and Honey. When I am not at work I enjoy cooking (especially baking), playing tennis and badminton, shopping, watching films and reading a good book.
Emma Holyroyd – Mobile Patient Care Assistant
Before joining Medivet, I worked in a secure mental health hospital as a HCA for 2 years. Prior to this I was a carer for in a dementia care home for three years. I am interested in learning as much as I can in veterinary nursing. I own two Tabby cats called Loki and Boo, a Lion-Head rabbit (called Daisy until finding out she was a boy who we now call Bugs!), a Boxer/Bullmastiff dog named Roxy and a Yorkie/Jack Russell dog called Rolo. Outside of work, I enjoy horse-riding and walking my dogs in the woods. I am currently training for the "3 Peaks Challenge" next year.
