George Vug – Head Veterinary Surgeon
I joined the Medivet South Ockendon team at the start of 2016 and I am dedicated and very passionate about my job. I graduated in 2008 and have a range of experiences with varied animals including pets, farm animals and livestock. I currently manage the South Ockendon Medivet practice along with the help of my fantastic team. I enjoy all parts of my job including consulting, medicine and surgery. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, young daughter and two dogs called Sascha and Cara. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
Karen Whittaker – Head Veterinary Nurse
I started work in the veterinary profession in 1995, and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2002. I have been involved in animal rescue for over 20 years and have fostered and re-homed many animals during this period. My great interest is animal behaviour which I have studied to an advanced level, gaining the certificate in animal behaviour from BVNA and a diploma from COAPE. I currently have 13 cats, one dog and a tortoise! Whilst working for Medivet I hope to make a difference for both owners and animals that come into my care.
Jodie Lester – Student Veterinary Nurse
Having previously completed a national diploma in all three sciences and an animal management degree at Writtle, I am currently enjoying my veterinary nursing course with Medivet and can't wait to qualify. I love all aspects of my job and it is something I have always wanted to do! I have a love for Jack Russell Terriers and have two of my own called Honey and Daisy.
Catherine Partidge – Student Veterinary Nurse
I have been working and studying within Medivet since November 2013 and have been a part of the South Ockendon team since June 2016, previously working in our Chafford Hundred practice. I particularly enjoy working with our feline patients and I am interested in medical nursing and radiography.
