We are a great team of dedicated staff members who are all trained to the highest level of competency. Some of our team members have been working at Medivet South Woodham for many years and have built an excellent rapport with our clients and their pets.
As well as our permanent staff members at South Woodham, we also have a team of mobile staff who work in several Medivet practices across Essex and the surrounding areas. Click here to view a list of mobile staff members who may work at South Woodham Ferrers from time to time.
Alan Perry – Head Veterinary Surgeon
I am originally from Israel and graduated from FMVB Bucharest, Romania, in 2012. Before joining Medivet, I worked in a small veterinary practice and had my own veterinary ambulance working 24 hours a day on-call. I joined Medivet in the residency and buddy programmes and both have given me a lot of support as a new vet in the UK. After some time, I joined the Canvey Island team where I continued to learn and develop my skills further. Recently, I joined the team at South Woodham Ferrers as a head veterinary surgeon where we have a friendly and very dedicated team. I'm particularly interested in surgery and general medicine. I have a young daughter called Ayana and a stray cat called phoebe.
Victoria Rawlings - Head Veterinary Nurse
I have been with Medivet since January 2009 following graduation from Writtle College where I obtained my Animal Management degree. I have a keen interest in surgical procedures and enjoy my interactions with colleagues and clients alike. I own two young Leonbergers who are, it has to be said, a handful but a lot of fun. I have always wanted to work with animals and veterinary nursing allows me to fulfil my dream.
Louise Logie - Student Veterinary Nurse
I am a student nurse and have been with Medivet since 2010. I love my job and the team here at South Woodham Ferrers. I have a little old lady cat called Lucky and have been known to rescue a hedgehog or two!
Amy Page - Student Veterinary Nurse
I joined Medivet in November 2012 and am currently a first year student. I started at the South Woodham Ferrers branch in December 2013. I have always wanted to work with animals and have also been known to rescue a few strays! I look forward to qualifying and continuing a career in veterinary nursing.
Karen Blake - Client Care Assistant
I started nursing way back in 1980 and joined Woodham Halt veterinary practice full time in September 2003. I love my job and the diversity and rewards it brings. I live with my partner, 3 children, a burmese cat and a cocker spaniel, so my life is very hectic! I also live in South Woodham Ferrers and enjoy knowing most of our clients and being part of our local community.
Zak 'Nurse's little helper' - Practice Companion
I have been at the Woodham Halt practice for many years. I was the victim of a road traffic accident and the kind vet fixed me up and gave me a home. My likes include; cuddles, strokes and dinner time! And dislikes; being groomed, taking medicine and claw clipping.
