David KenyonDavid Kenyon – Practice Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

After qualifying at Onderstepoort, South Africa in 1992, I spent a few years working at various practices in Pretoria. In 1995, we decided to try working in the UK, and joined Medivet, back in the day when they only had 11 practices! My daughter was born at Watford General Hospital in 1997, and we decided to return to South Africa to bring her up with family. I continued working for Medivet on and off until 2000 when I returned to Pretoria and bought into Hatfield Bird & Animal Hospital. We sold this practice in November 2015. Returning to Medivet after 16 years has been an interesting experience, and I'm highly impressed with what has been achieved. Having owned and run my own practice for 16 years, I appreciate the value in Medivet's support, allowing me to concentrate on my career and creating the right atmosphere for my staff, clients and their pets. When I'm not at work, I enjoy scuba diving (I'm a PADI Dive Master), running, walking, cycling, swimming and golf.
