Andrew McVey - Branch PartnerAndrew McVey - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from the University of Liverpool Vet School in July 2012 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Distinction). I am currently midway through my post-graduate Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice. I joined Warbreck House straight after graduation to work alongside my Dad, Bryan, who has been at the family practice for 25 years. The clinic joined the Medivet family in November 2014 and we continue to bring all of the family values that the practice has always held so close.

I have a particular interest in surgery and cardiology. I undertake some orthopaedic work and am looking to expand my expertise and skill set with the certificate that I am in the process of completing. I am also looking to further develop my cardiac and abdominal ultrasound with our brand new, state of the art ultrasound machine. Outside of work I am a big sports fan. I enjoy following Liverpool FC and the England cricket team mainly. I also enjoy going out and about in Liverpool where there is always so much to do and see.

I have a Level Three Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. Before joining Medivet I worked in customer service and in another veterinary practice. My special areas of interest lie within surgical nursing and consultations. At home I have a Labrador called Parker and a cat called Barbara. In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends, keeping fit and walking. I am really looking forward to my career with Medivet, and progressing to a management role in the future.
