Meet the Medivet North London Mobile Team

Medivet have a team of mobile staff who deliver the highest standards of veterinary care backed up by a personal and caring attitude dedicated to providing service of the highest standard in a sympathetic, friendly and reassuring manner across Middlesex. 

Mobile Veterinary Surgeons

Patricia FreitasPatricia Freitas - Mobile Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified as a vet in 2008 and then worked with large animals in Spain for 3 years. I moved to the UK in 2012 to pursue my dream of working with small animals and continuing to improve my skills as a vet.

Reina SasporteReina Sasporte - Mobile Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from the University of Corobba in Spain in 1995 after studying Veterinary Medicine. I have spent the last 17 years working within small animal practices in Spain. I am particularly interested in Neurology within Veterinary Medicine. I recently joined Medivet in December 2014. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy traveling and riding my bike with my dog, Love. 

Majella DingMajella Ding – Mobile Resident Veterinary Surgeon

I hold a BVSc in veterinary science. I qualified in 2015 from Bristol University. I also hold a BSc in cancer biology and immunology. I have a special interest in oncology. I enjoy surfing in my spare time when I’m able! 

Livia IstratescuLivia Istratescu – Mobile Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2014 from the University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest. Before joining Medivet, I worked in Cyprus in a small animal practice located in Peyia, Paphos. My special areas of interest are neurology and ophthalmology. At home I have a very spoiled, loving and loud budgie! When I am not at work I enjoy swimming, going out with friends and studying. 

Rui Bruno Varela Da Silva Duarte

Rui Bruno Varela Da Silva Duarte – Mobile Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified as a vet in October 2015 at Lisbon University in Portugal. I have done several internships in Portugal and spent one year in Barcelona during my degree. I am interested in internal medicine, oncology and ophthalmology. Unfortunately, I do not have any pets at home but I would love some! I grew up with pets all my life and I still have three dogs, three cats and one parrot at my parents’ house. In my spare time I enjoy listening to live music, reading, and travelling.

Daniela NascimentoDaniela Nascimento – Mobile Resident Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated with an Integrated Master Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Lisbon, Portugal in 2016. My special interests lie within internal medicine and dermatology. Outside of work, I enjoy going to nice restaurants, riding horses and playing tennis.

Mobile Nurses

Rosanna GearyRosanna Geary – Mobile Patient Care Assistant

I have an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree from King’s College London in Environment and Development. I have three years previous experience in vet practices and have worked with Cats Protection on a voluntary basis for the last two years. Before joining Medivet, I completed my degree and master’s, and then in 2006 I worked in Thailand for a year on disaster preparedness. I also have worked in the city as an admin/PA. I am interested in general pet care, conservation of wildlife, and educating pet owners. At home I have two Persian cats named Simba and Furby. Outside of work I enjoy Salsa and Brazilian dancing, swimming, and photography. I am a general advocate of animal welfare and am looking forward to caring for them with the utmost importance.

April WoodApril Wood – Mobile Patient Care Assistant 

I have a BA Honours degree in English Language from Cardiff University. Before joining Medivet, I worked on farms and stable yards. I also worked in Education Marketing. I am particularly interested in exotic pets and look forward to learning more about surgical procedures. At home, I have a black moor fish, a Bengal cross kitten and three rats named Nikolai, Claude and KingCrab. In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor activities, road cycling, and horse riding. 

Ida UrsinIda Ursin – Mobile Patient Care Assistant

I am originally from Denmark and studied there in Film and Media. Before joining Medivet I volunteered at a zoo and wildlife rescue centre in Australia. I am very interested in surgery and anaesthesia and I look forward to learning more about them. At home I have a lovely cat names Dazzleman. Outside of work I enjoy watching films, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family. 

 

Kate ReynoldsKate Reynolds – Mobile Patient Care Assistant

Before joining Medivet, I put my complementary therapies course into good use by working in numerous health shops. Through this, I was able to travel too. I am absolutely dog mad and back home in Ireland, I have two gorgeous Collie Crosses called Wendy and Bella. In my free time I love to cook, walk dogs from my local rescue centre, explore new places and spend time with friends and family. I’m really excited to start my new career at Medivet.

Laura FowlerLaura Fowler – Mobile Patient Care Assistant

I hold a Level 3 Exctended Diploma in Animal Management from NESCOT College. Before joining Medivet I worked at Clarement Cattery in Hamptom. At home, I have a three year old Chihuahua called Buddy and two Giant African land snails called Jack and Daniel and a 13 year leopard Gecko called Two Spots. Outside of work, I enjoy walking and reading fantasy books.

Stefanie KingStefanie King – Mobile Patient Care Assistant

I hold a BTEC National Diploma in Animal Management and a degree in Zoology acquired at Anglia Ruskin University. Before joining Medivet, I was a restaurant manager, but have done voluntary work with animals. I am particularly interested in learning about health problems and dental problems. At home, I have a Jack Russell named toby who is nearly 17 years old!! In my spare time, I like going to the cinema and spending time with friends.

I completed a Level 3 Animal Management course at Capel Manor College in 2013 before joining Medivet in late 2014 as a mobile patient care assistant. I do frequently work at Medivet Enfield 24 hour hospital which I really enjoy as I have a special interest in intensive care. At home, I have 2 dogs, a large Mastiff and a beautiful Saluki. I also have a horse of my own, a ferret, 4 geckos, birds and a bearded dragon. I believe I am somewhat of an animal lover!

Amber LangtryAmber Langtry – Mobile Patient Care Assistant

I have a BSc (Hons) in Computer Animation and Special Effects from the University of Bradford. I was a printer and a sign maker prior to joining Medivet as a Patient Care Assistant. I am excited about my career change and the opportunity to learn more about birds, the care of birds and other small animals with Medivet. I do have a cat of my own at home and in my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, walking with my dog. I also like to DJ in my free time. 

Siobhan McGuireSiobhan McGuire – Mobile Patient Care Assistant

I graduated from Roehampton University in June 2015 with a degree in Journalism and Media. I’m excited to learn about all aspects of veterinary care as I love animals! At home, I have a black and white cat named Pingu with my partner. In my spare time, I enjoy learning piano, dancing, and going to the theatre and the cinema.  

Alysia SharmanAlysia Sharman – Mobile Patient Care Assistant

I studied at Capel Manor Enfield, where I obtained a Level Three Extended Diploma in Animal Management. Before joining Medivet, I was working as a veterinary nurse assistant in Leyton. The best part of my role at Medivet is getting to watch the animals we treat get better; I love grooming them, handling them and helping care for them. At home, I have four cats; Twinkle, Pitch, Fred and Hoppy. In my spare time, I am a scout leader in Goodmayes, which is great fun getting to take the scouts on camping trips and adventures.

Abby SpurrellAbby Spurrell – Mobile Patient Care Assistant

I have a stage 1 equine diploma as well as a saddlery qualification. Before joining Medivet I worked as a horse groom and at a riding school in Epping Forest. I would like to work towards my veterinary nurse qualifications. I enjoy running and horse riding in my spare time.

I graduated from Kingston University in July 2015, where I obtained a degree in Marketing. After university, I went travelling and then worked in customer service before starting at Medivet. At home, I have a Labrador called Maddie and two cats called Amber and Louie. Outside of work, I love walking the dog, baking, watching films and going to the gym.
