Virginia York - Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified at the Royal Veterinary College in London in 1995. Since this time, I have worked throughout the country for a variety of small animal practices. Most recently, I have been a Veterinary Surgeon at the Heacham & Priory Court clinics since 2000.
Rachel Smith - Head Veterinary Nurse
I started with Medivet in 2009 and have held positions through patient care assistant to head nurse at Heacham and Hunstanton, having registered as a veterinary nurse in 2014. Each day in this job is an enjoyable challenge. In my spare time I can usually be found with a cup of tea, a book in hand and my dog on my lap.
Sylvia Young - Patient Care Assistant
I started my career when I joined a practice in the Midlands which treated all sizes and kinds of animals. I eventually decided to move to Norfolk and joined Heacham Clinic where I have been for the past 10 years. I have always enjoyed my work. I get enourmous pleasure in being part of a team, which not only looks after healthy animals but works to restore a much loved pet to full health.
Yolander Hancock - Patient Care Assistant
I have worked at Heacham Veterinary Clinic since October 2004 as a Patient Care Assistant. At home, I have a small zoo including a Samoyed, Labrador, a cat, guinea pigs, tank of fish, a pond and 2 rescue tortoises. I am a volunteer with the Norfolk Tortoise Club and I'm involved in education about pets, attending events, home checking and rehoming.
Kathryn Tye – Patient Care Assistant
I graduated from the University of Greenwich in 2015, where I obtained an FdSc in Equine Management. Before joining Medivet, I worked as a receptionist in Dubai, at a small animal hospital. My special areas of interest are equine and animal behaviour. Back in Dubai, I have a dog that lives with my parents; he is a rescue dog called Rolo, who is an Alsation/Saluki cross. In my spare time, I like to go horse riding and enjoy looking after my dogs.
Denise Chapman - Client Care Assistant
I joined the practice in April 1983. I have worked in veterinary nursing, clinical assistance and reception over the years. My passion out of work is my three Border Collies which I train and compete in Sheepdog Trials. Along with my ever supportive husband, I am very knowledgeable in dog behaviour and we hold puppy socialising and training classes. Also love helping our clients and passing on knowledge gained over the years in practice.
