Veterinary Surgeons

Jeremy CarrJeremy Carr - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated in 2005 from the Royal Veterinary College with a merit in my final examinations. I joined Medivet soon after graduation and became a full time vet at the Hampstead Garden Suburb practice. I became a partner in the practice in 2008. I have completed a small animal medicine certificate run by the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies. I live in Hendon with my wife  and two cheeky boys. Recently we rehomed 2 abandoned 5 week old kittens who have given us much enjoyment.

Sarah Healy - Vet

Sarah Healy – Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated in 2013 from the University of Cambridge and spent the next 6 months travelling and working in charity clinics abroad. I began my career with Medivet as a floating vet in North London. After a stint working as an assistant in the Battersea and Southfields branches, I returned north and have now joined Hampstead as a Partner. I love the clients and staff here and I'm very excited to be joining the team permanently. I have a particular interest in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. I live in South West London with the two men in my life – my partner and our cuddly moggie, Wilson!

Nursing Team

Lauren EvansLauren Evans - Head Veterinary Nurse

I started with Medivet in 2006 and loved the fact that I could work and study to be a qualified veterinary nurse at the same time. I moved with my husband from South Africa in 2005 to settle in the UK. I became permanent at the Hampstead Garden Suburb branch a few months after starting and have never looked back! Shortly after I became head nurse. I love and enjoy this position and love the patients and clients here at HGS. I left my three dalmations with my parents when I moved from home, and have had many species as pets such as guinea fowl, chickens, a hamster, a cockatiel, a hand-reared dove, pet rats, dogs, many rabbits and I currently have a guinea pig named Ms Piggy, who doesn't mind being on her own at home while I am at work! I have always wanted to help and be in constant contact with animals, so feel very privileged to be where I am today.

Laura CorbettLaura Corbett - Student Veterinary Nurse

I began doing my A-levels but decided they were not for me and, as I have always loved animals, decided to pursue a career in veterinary nursing. I'm really enjoying studying for my veterinary nursing qualification at the Medivet Training College.

Laura MantonLaura Manton – Patient Care Assistant

I graduated from the University of Chester with a BSc Honours in Animal Behaviour in 2015. I also have a Level 3 BTEC in Animal Management. Before joining Medivet, I spent summers in Greece working on a sea turtle conservation project and also experienced an internship at Chester zoo, working in the rhino section. I am particularly interested in animal behaviour and have a rescue Border Collie named Bryn. Outside of work, I enjoy cycling and dog walking.

Reception Team

Charlotte HoldingCharlotte Holding - Client Care Assistant

I started working at Medivet in 2006 and began as a trainee veterinary nurse. I worked at the Hendon branch as I enjoyed working at a hospital due to the variety of patients and surgical procedures. I left to have my first son and returned to work as a receptionist at the Hendon branch. I joined the Hampstead Garden Suburb team in 2012 and I thoroughly enjoy the busy practice, working with the clients and patients we have here, as well as my colleagues. I have a rescue mastiff named Milo who unfortunately has had a couple surgeries due to his elbow dysplasia, cruciate disease and hip dysplasia. He is unable to do much excercise so we are lucky that he is a lazy dog! I have a black, very friendly cat named Sooty.

Ian OkvliczIan Okvlicz – Client Care Assistant

I am currently studying an SQP course about non-prescription medicines and have GCSEs. Before joining Medivet, I worked for an online animal pharmaceutical company to help customers with prescription medicines for their pets. I grew up with dogs and horses in Yorkshire but living in London, I now have a small flat with 3 fish called Queenie, Poppy and Callum. Outside of work I enjoy travelling, music, horseback riding when I get the chance and eating lots of different foods.
