Dr. Richard Leonard - Senior Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified in Dublin in 1980 and worked in Stud and Farm practice for 2 years before going to work in small animal practice in South Africa. In 1987 I moved to London and joined Medivet with a view to open our first 24 hour centre at Hendon. I am married and have two children and three dogs.
Dr. Jerry Dunne - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I hold a degree in MVB as well as a general practitioner certificate and small animal surgery (GPCertSAS). I also hold a post graduate certificate in small animal surgery (PGCertSAS). Before joining Medivet Hendon, I worked in a mixed practice for 2 years in Snowdonia before completing a further 9 years in a small animal practice. I have a special interest in surgery, particularly orthopaedic and spinal, as well as CT imaging. I have one pet, Sammy, who lives back on the dairy farm I grew up on in Ireland. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, mountain climbing, surfing, sailing, playing the cello, violin and piano.
Dr. Sara Mameli – Veterinary Surgeon
I hold a DVM (Doctor in Veterinary Medicine) after graduating in Italy in 2007. After 4 years in general practice, I began to specialize in acupuncture. I have been studying for 2 years in order to receive my degree from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Before joining Medivet in 2012, I worked in Spain for more than 5 years in practice. After some time as a mobile veterinary surgeon with the Medivet family, I am thrilled to now be a part of the team at Medivet Hendon. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and walking in the countryside.
Dr. Vlad Tipicsa – Veterinary Surgeon
I completed my PhD in 2014 in diagnostic imaging. Before joining Medivet Hendon, I worked as a PhD researcher in Romania. I have a special interest in diagnostic imaging, internal medicine and hepatology. In my spare time I enjoy playing badminton, tennis, fishing and working out.
Dr. Natalia Parrilla - Veterinary Surgeon
Amanda Toreres Perez – Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2013 and graduated from the University of Zaragoza, Spain. Before joining Medivet, I worked as a meat hygiene inspector in Guilford and also as a veterinary night care attendant. I am particularly interested in surgery and emergency care. In Spain, I have a Yorkshire terrier. In my spare time, I enjoy walking, running and hiking.
Laura Romano – Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified in 2006, from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Milan, Italy. Before joining Medivet I worked in Italy as a self-employed vet; at the very beginning I worked both with horses and small animal. During the last year I worked as a referral vet for Non-Conventional Medicine and Acupuncture for some clinics. I am qualified in Veterinary Acupuncture and my special area of interest is Holistic Medicine. Outside work I practice yoga, I love walking in the countryside, I play piano and I love listening any kind of music.

I started working for Medivet in 2003 when I was just 17 following a BTEC 1st diploma in Animal Care. I began working with the team in HGS before moving to the Hendon Continuous Care Centre at the end of 2005. I was promoted to Deputy Head Nurse at the end of 2007 whilst studying for my final year. I gained my Qualified Vet Nursing certificate in the spring of 2009 and was promoted again to Head Nurse of Hendon which I really enjoy.
At the begining of 2011 I wanted to follow a different path in my passion for Emergency medicine so I decided to step down from Head Nurse and complete a qualification in Emergency and Critical Care. I now oversee client communcations, provide lectures to in house students and newly recruited staff, oversee critical care and emergency and support a large group of clients with pets who have longterm disease.
Silvia Boscolo Contadin - Veterinary Nurse
I have always loved animals since I was a child, and this is why I decided to pursue a career as a Veterinary Nurse. I've got a big passion in neurology and physiotherapy. I am currently studying animal physiotherapy at the College of Animal Physiotherapy in Cambridge; following this i would like to study further into hydrotherapy.

I attended Middlesex University where I received my BA (Hon) in Youth Justice. Before joining Medivet, I worked for a charity that helps ex-offenders into education, training and employment. I truly enjoy helping people and being part of a team. In my free time I enjoy shopping, traveling, theatre, and spending time with my family and friends. I am excited to joining the Medivet team and entering into a new career path!
Debora Samuels – Patient Care Assistant
Before joining Medivet, I worked as a childminder as well as a special needs teaching assistant. I am thrilled to now join Medivet as a patient care assistant and I am looking forward to learning more about animal care in practice. At home I have two rabbits called Squirrel and Bobtail. I also have 5 guinea pigs! I enjoy spending time with my family (I have 5 children), writing songs and rehearsing with my band, The Vizslas.
Luana Baroni – Patient Care Assistant
I studied and qualified as a veterinary surgeon in Italy, but then decided to move into veterinary nursing when I moved to the UK. Before joining Medivet, I worked in a London pet shop for two years. I am very interested in small animals (rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs) and I would love to specialise in this area in the future. I have a rabbit and four dogs who live in Italy with my family. In my spare time, I enjoy going to gigs and concerts, listening to music and going to the theatre! I am a volunteer steward at the Globe Theatre.
Gisele Carvalho Pinheiro – Patient Care Assistant
I graduated in 2008 at a university in South Brazil. From 2009 to 2015, I worked for the Brazilian Environmental Protection Agency; during this time, I dealt directly with all kinds of animals, mainly ones who had been rescued or abused. This close contact with animals made me more and more interested in veterinary science, especially animal behaviour, which lead me to my career at Medivet. At home, I have a female pug named Lisbela.

I previously worked as an Assistant in a veterinary practice in Hungary. I then went to work for a cruise line for many years and volunteered with Humpback whales in Hawaii. Eventually my husband and I decided to settle down in London. I recently joined Medivet as a Client Care Assistant, and I hope to further my studies in Veterinary Nursing.
Sarah Kemp - Client Care Assistant
I have been working for Medivet for over 9 years now! I started as a nurse floating to our various NW London branches until I became Practice Co-Ordinator of our South Harrow branch. I was there for 5 years and loved it but I wanted to get more involved in the reception side of things as I loved interacting with the clients and their pets. I have a cat called Cullen (Twilight fan!) who is now 5 years old, he was hand-reared by Hendon's Head receptionist Marie and he thinks he's more human than cat, he even gives high fives!

I have a BTEC in Animal Care and Animal Management. At home I have two dogs called Leo and Maxwell. In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit and going to the cinema.

I am enjoying every minute working at Medivet as a Client Care Assistant! It has always been my dream to work with animals. I have a German Shepherd called Kody & I aim to one day become a Veterinary Nurse.
Daniel Preter - Senior Partner and Head of Vet Recruitment & Vet Mentorship
I was born and raised in Munich, Germany. I went to vet school there and completed a doctorate in Experimental Surgery afterwards. I arrived in England in 1997 and worked as a locum at the PDSA before starting my position in Medivet. I started as a floating vet, but was offered my own branch, Medivet Kenton, after 4 months. I later bought the practice as a partner and then became a senior partner in 2007. In 2009, I left the Kenton practice to work at the Support Centre. I look mainly after vet recruitment and the running of our buddy system for newly employed vets within the group. I also help manage Medivet Hendon and Dalston.
Lyn Chant - Hendon Area Manager
I started in Practice in 1992 carrying out duties from reception to theatre and everything in between. I qualified as an RVN in 2000 and continued as head nurse and lead assessor of students until December 2004 when I moved to the College of Animal Welfare. I worked there as an internal verifier until starting my current role with Medivet in 2012 as Hendon area manager.
Lily Perrin – Assistant Hendon Area Manager
I have been with the Medivet family since 2010. I started off at the Hampstead Garden Suburb branch as a veterinary nurse and then become their receptionist. I have now joined the Medivet support team as Hendon assistant area manager. This was a great opportunity for me to take and I love how everyday there is a new challenge! At home I have two old staffies called Fred and George, two mischievous cats called Tallulah and Thomas, and have recently expanded my mad animal family with two black moor fish called Darcy and Finley.
Dr. Isabel De Marcos Carpio – Veterinary Surgeon
I received my Bachelors in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Leon in Spain in 2010. After graduating, I worked in Sierra De Madrid Veterinary Hospital and at El Madronal Veterinary Centre before relocating to the UK. I am very happy to join the Medivet Hendon team. I have a special interest in surgery as well as emergency and critical care. I have 1 dog at home named Abora. I enjoy jogging, picnics and being outdoors in my free time. I also enjoy being with friends and my dog. In the future, I wish to specialise in surgery and in emergency care.
Dr. Ana Manso - Night Veterinary Surgeon
After graduating in Portugal in 2006, I decided to move to the UK where I began work at the PDSA. I then completed an internship in Edinburgh. In 2009 I moved to London where I worked as the night vet at the Medivet Enfield 24 hour hospital. In January 2015, I decided to relocate and I am now working as the night vet at Medivet Hendon 24 hour hospital.

I joined the Royal Army Veterinary Corps in July 1972 and spent 8 years qualifying as a dog trainer. I later retrained as a Veterinary Technician and completed 22 years service as a senior vet technician. After discharge in 1994, I took on management of a quarantine and boarding kennel and cattery outside Edinburgh. I have been working at Medivet since 2000.
