David Abratt - Senior Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I grew up in South Africa surrounded by many pets and always wanted to be a vet as far back as I can remember. After qualifying I worked in a variety of small animal practices both in South Africa and the UK before joining Medivet Kingsbury in 2007. Now I also help manage Medivet Dalston and Enfield. My veterinary interests include minimally invasive veterinary diagnostics and treatment such as ultrasound, endoscopy and laparoscopy (keyhole surgery). I met my wife Caroline in the UK and have 2 young daughters, a Boston terrier named Zak and a bearded dragon named Valentine.
Leslie Burke - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I've wanted to be a vet for as long as I can remember, always begging my parents for pets of my own and dragging them from zoo to zoo! Born and raised in Canada, I completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology before coming to the UK to study veterinary medicine. I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2014 and have a keen interest in clinical pathology and exotic species. I am very excited to become a branch partner at the practice where I started my career!
Rosalind Oliver- Head Veterinary Nurse
I started at the Hendon centre and worked there for three years before working around the branches in the North West of London. I became Head Nurse of Kingsbury in 2005 and have never looked back! I have always owned animals from cats and rabbits to hamsters and rats, but my spare time is now devoted to my Jack Russell Terrier George.
Romy Cummins - Student Veterinary Nurse
I began working for Medivet in 2014 as a patient care assistant, floating across the Hendon/Harrow branches. I loved the possibility of working and studying to become a veterinary nurse and being able to work alongside animals every day. I am now enrolled as a student veterinary nurse at Medivet’s own college. I’m thoroughly looking forward to working towards my goal of becoming a qualified veterinary nurse.
