Our vets at Medivet Wantage have a wide range of interests in various areas of animal medicine and surgery. This allows us to practice to a high veterinary standard across a wide field. You can rest assured that whatever the problem, we have the expertise and knowledge to help.
We are all passionate and committed to the welfare of animals under our care and we will do everything we can to get your pet back to full health.
As well as our permanent staff at Wantage, we also have a team of mobile staff who work in several Medivet practices across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas. View a list of mobile staff members who may work at Wantage from time to time.
Daniel Varian - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated in Dublin in 2002. I take a special interest in internal medicine, and cuddling puppies and kittens! I love working as a vet and I was very proud to have been nominated by clients for Petplan's National Vet of the Year Award 2015 and 2016. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife, my kids - Leo, Holly and Rufus, my beloved springer Castro and working cocker Puli.
Jessica Upton - Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated from Liverpool in 1993. I worked in Birmingham for 3 years and met my now husband there. We settled in Oxford and I began part time work so we got to see each other. I've only ever done 'companion' animal vetting and enjoy being a decent GP vet.
Katie Giles - Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated from the University of California in 2006 and moved to Washington DC to complete an internship in emergency and critical care. I decided to move to England to finally be with my husband. We live just outside Bicester with Lola, a mixed-breed dog, and Jesse, a former feral cat.
