Meet the Medivet Wheatley Team

Our friendly and welcoming team enjoy meeting you and your pets. We have a wealth of veterinary experience and we will go that extra mile to ensure your pets are treated with the highest standard of veterinary care they deserve. We love animals and we like to make your pet feel relaxed by giving them extra special attention and cuddles during their visit.

As well as our permanent staff at Wheatley, we also have a mobile veterinary team who work in several Medivet practices across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas. View a list of our mobile staff members who may work at Wheatley from time to time.

Veterinary Surgeons

Katrin Magorrian

Katrin Magorrian - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified as Biophysicist in 1994 in Berlin, did my PhD at Oxford University in Physiology and went over to the US for molecular biology research before becoming a veterinary surgeon in 2004. After graduation I worked for 3 years in a mixed practice in Kidderminster near Birmingham before joining Medivet. I have no pets, only wildlife as it comes along, and a husband.

Nursing Team

Julie Cherry

Julie Cherry - Head Veterinary Nurse

I am a registered veterinary nurse and have worked at Sandy Lane Vets since 2009. I did my nurse training in St Petersburg, Florida. After graduating I worked in Clearwater, FL in an emergency clinic for 2 years. I haven't always been a vet nurse, but I have always had a love of animals. I have one dog, a very brave (not) greyhound called Sweet Pea who traveled back to England with me from Florida.

Stephanie CoxStefanie Cox - Student Veterinary Nurse

I have a degree in environmental biology. In my spare time I volunteer at Cotswold Wildlife Park in the lemur enclosure. I have previously worked in an admin position.

Emma LobarEmma Wallis – Patient Care Assistant

Before joining Medivet I worked in child care for 7 years and most recently as a nanny for 3 years. Before that, I completed work experience in a veterinary practice and a wildlife park. I hope to begin working towards my qualifications in becoming a veterinary nurse with Medivet very soon. I have 2 rabbits, Kiara which is a Lionhead and Maggie which is a Dutch dwarf. I enjoy spending time with my partner and friends as well as going to the cinema and swimming in my spare time.
