Emma Evans – Head Veterinary Surgeon
I obtained my Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Liverpool, as well as my Medicine certificate, meaning I am a medical specialist. I really enjoy medical cases and the complicated investigations these sometimes involve. Before joining Medivet, I worked in North wales at a busy companion animal practice where I gained lots of experience. At home, I have two dogs; Woody, a very excitable Cocker Spaniel, and Aggie a shy Jack Russell Terrier. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, walking, cooking and going to carnivals and fairs.
Simon James Cook – Veterinary Surgeon
I obtained my Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Bristol and qualified in 2013. Before joining Medivet I worked here at Pearl Vets. I am particularly interested in surgery. At home I have a Labrador. Outside of work I enjoy using the gym, socialising with friends, and playing tennis and rugby.
Samantha Popplewell– Head Veterinary Nurse
I qualified as a veterinary nurse at the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2006. I also obtained an NVQ level 2 and 3 in vet nursing and a BTEC national diploma in Animal Care. Before joining Medivet I worked here at Pearl Vets as a registered veterinary nurse. I would love to learn about cat behaviour and I am very interested in caring for both clients and their pets. At home I have two cats; Gizmo and Gromit; and one guinea pig. Outside of work I enjoy ballet, ice dancing, swimming, and gym.
Courtney Windsor – Patient Care Assistant
I studied at Reaseheath College where I completed my Level Three Diploma in Animal Management - Distinction grade. Before joining Medivet, I was studying as well as working part-time at a large and small animal veterinary clinic. Rehabilitation and therapy are my main interests in my role and what I wish to pursue. At home, I have five dogs; a Golden Retriever called Jeffrey, a Huntaway called Boozer, a Jack Russell called Scout, a Labrador called Alfie and a Spaniel called Oz! In my spare time, I enjoy walking and biking.
Llewella Griffiths – Client Care Assistant
I have A Levels in English language and literature, and Media Studies. I have also started studying toward a degree in English Language, Media, and Communication Studies. Before joining Medivet, I worked in a junior school as an administrator and assistant to the special education needs coordinator. My special areas of interest in my field of work are the clients, customer service, marketing, and IT. At home I have one big fat house cat called Milo. Outside of work I enjoy reading, walking, listening to music, and seeing my family and friends.
