Meet the Medivet Croydon Team

The staff at Croydon aim to deliver the highest standards of veterinary care backed up by a personal and caring attitude dedicated to providing service of the highest standard in a sympathetic, friendly and reassuring manner.

Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified in 2015 from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia with a VMD. Before joining Medivet, I did a year internship in the Exotic Companion Animal medicine and surgery department. My special interests lie within small animals, exotics, emergency, medicine and surgery. At home I have an orange male cat named The Muffin Man. In my spare time, I love hiking, reading, camping and travelling. 

Nursing Team

Clair ShillingfordClair Shillingford – Veterinary Nurse

I qualified as a veterinary nurse at Brinsbury College in September 1999. I started working here in 1992 and I love spending time with all the animals. At home I have a cheeky Shih Tzu called Max. Outside of work, I enjoy going out to the theatre and eating out at nice restaurants.

Joanne BakerJoanne Baker – Patient Care Assistant

In 2012, I obtained a level 2 certificate for a course in Animal Nursing Assistants Correspondence. Before joining Medivet I worked in the reunification team of the Missing Pets bureau. My special areas of interest lie in surgery and post-op care! I find it very rewarding caring for animals and reuniting them with their owners. At home I have two adorable cats and in my spare time I enjoy reading, doing quizzes, and History.

Louise ColesLouise Coles – Student Veterinary Nurse

I enjoy all aspects of nursing and find it extremely rewarding. I am looking forward to starting my training at college in September and becoming a qualified veterinary nurse! I am the proud owner of Harry the Cockerpoo who is also in my photo. In my spare time I enjoy horse-riding, socialising with friends, eating out, and travelling.

Reception Team

Pamela ChristiePamela Christie – Client Care Assistant

I obtained a Veterinary Practice Administration Certificate (VPAC) in 2014 and have completed many customer service courses over the years. I have had various customer service and office roles having previously worked for an insurance company since 1990. I enjoy interacting with different people and filling out paperwork. At home, I have a loveable cat called Haggis. In my spare time I enjoy Sudoku, crocheting, and eating out.
