Kayleigh Cook – Veterinary Surgeon
I joined our team after graduating from the University of Liverpool. As a keen horse owner since childhood – and having always wanted to care for animals – becoming a vet was the natural career choice for me, having a keen interest in all animals. I am especially attached to my border collie x labrador, Beau, who has recently moved from my mother's home in Norfolk to be with me all the time! Since settling in Surrey, I have expanded my menagerie with two mischievous cats, Pea and Bean, who like to keep everyone on their toes!
Sam McLoughlin – Veterinary Surgeon
I grew up on the back of a horse, was usually found helping on friends farms and constantly pestering my parents for more animals of any type to “look after”. Ending up with three ponies, a few lambs, a cat, dog and lots of bunnies as a young girl it was no surprise when I expressed a wish to be a vet. Attending university, I obtained my BVetMed along with my MA and I love looking after patients of all types and size. Since getting married, my menagerie has expanded to include my husband, four active (and sport mad) children, sheep and lots of other pets in various places around our home. I can often be seen dashing about between taking consultations, collecting/dropping off various offspring around the area or active in village life.
Viki Edmondson – Veterinary Surgeon
I decided pretty much whilst still in nappies that dolls were rubbish and stuffed soft toy animals were the way forward so being a vet and an interest in surgery was the natural conclusion to pulling ears and tails off so I could sew them back on again. Now with 24 years’ experience under my belt I still enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine especially lameness in horses, resolving pain in all animals and geriatric medicine plus challenging cat cases. I am an active Carriage Driving Trials competitor with my horses and appear to have a menagerie of animals including, mmm, about 14 cats, 6 dogs, horses, donkeys, sheep, chickens and a very tolerant husband!
Harriet Laker – Head Client Care Assistant
I lead the client services role running the main office systems for the surgery and our social media. Having been brought up in a traditional Pony Club family, I can often be seen locally on my lovely hunter Harry, or with my husband and our dogs. As a seasoned competitive rider, when off duty I may be seen riding for the local race yard. Aside from my time spent with animals – either at home or work – I also enjoy competing in my local netball league.
