Oxted's veterinary clinic and kennels became part of the Medivet family in 2007, but has been a veterinary practice for three generations. On-site, we also have a dog grooming parlour run by our kennel manager.
We have a friendly and caring team headed by partner and veterinary surgeon Paul Grant. Our client care assistants will always be at our practice to greet you upon your arrival. As well as our permanent staff at Oxted, we also have a team of mobile staff who work in several Medivet practices across Surrey and surrounding areas. View a list of our mobile team who may work at Medivet Oxted from time to time.
We are all passionate about the work we do and pride ourselves on treating your animals as we would our own. Our aim is to provide everything for your pets' well-being.
The healthier we can support your pet to be, the fewer problems are likely to arise. Ensuring your pet has a long, happy and healthy life is our main goal. This begins with getting them off to the best possible start when they are youngsters. During your very first visit to us with your new pet, you will be introduced to our tailor-made health package, aimed at making it simple to keep your pet healthy throughout its life. Our support will continue into their adulthood with annual health reviews, where a comprehensive check-up will help your pet maintain a high standard of health. Finally, we will help you create a diginified and graceful journey for your pet through their senior years. No matter what stage of life, our aim is always a gold standard of care.
Paul Grant – Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I have been a vet since 1987 and ran my own practice for 17 years. I like to integrate herbal medicines, homeopathy and natural nutrition into my work. In my spare time I walk my dogs and do Tae Kwon Do to keep myself fit and flexible.
Bridget Power – Veterinary Surgeon
I'm from Waterford in Ireland and graduated from University College Dublin in 2014. Since graduation, I have been with the Medivet team, initially starting out as a floating vet. I was lucky enough to join the Oxted team in March 2016. Since then, I have enjoyed working with the local pets and owners. I have a particular interest in imaging and cardiology, and am currently studying a certificate towards the latter. When I'm not working, I enjoy socialising with friends, going for dinner, and keeping fit.
Amy Batty – Student Veterinary Nurse and Practice Co-Ordinator
Having grown up in the countryside next to a farm and having had my own horses and dogs, I have always loved animals. I raised two litters of puppies, my current dog Minnie being one of them. After studying theatre at university, I couldn't stay away from animals long and decided to find myself a career at Medivet where I could be surrounded by animals all day, every day. I am currently training to become a qualified veterinary nurse.
Holli Lawrence – Veterinary Nurse
I have been working for Medivet since 2010 and I qualified as a nurse in 2015. When I left school I didn't know what I wanted to do, I tried a few different things but when I started veterinary nursing I knew that I had found my role in life. I have 2 cats of my own but would love to have a dog & a horse one day. The best thing (other than puppy & kitten cuddles) about being a nurse is helping people to give their animals the best life, and also working with people who love animals as much as I do.
Rebecca Lyon – Student Veterinary Nurse
I studied for a degree in wildlife conservation and previously worked in an RSPCA rehoming centre. Before joining Medivet, I worked at Battersea cats and dogs home looking after dogs and assessing their behaviour for rehoming.
Alison Keep – Client Care Assistant
Before joining Medivet I worked in hospitality, administration and customer care roles. I love animals and customer care so this role is perfect for me. In my spare time I like spending time with my children, family and pets.
Kate Alexander – Client Care Assistant
I joined the Medivet team in April 2012. I can’t believe how quickly those years have gone! I work with a great group of people and we all get on really well. I have twin boys, a daughter, three cats and two dogs, so I am always kept busy!
Katarzyna (Katrina) Srokosz – Kennel Manager
Before joining Medivet I worked as a Canine Carer for Dogs Trust. Prior to that I worked in an Adult Online Learning Centre as a Tutor. I am passionate about working with animals, especially dogs. I love working alongside people who share the same passion. In my spare time I like bike riding, swimming and playing tennis. I am an active person, and I like spending time outdoors.
Daniel Vogt - Kennel Assistant
Natalie Gollop - Kennel Assistant
Holly Baxter – Dog Groomer
I have worked in kennels for 5 years. In 2010 I trained as a dog groomer and am now the proud owner of Holly's Hounds dog grooming service. I have two crazy, loveable cocker spaniels, Roxy and Yateley.
Matt Holgate – Senior Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated from the Edinburgh Vet School in 1999 and spent 2 years in Northumberland before moving down to Carshalton, Surrey. In September 2004 I joined Medivet as a 'floating' vet and became a full time member of the Battersea team in October 2005. My interests are in medicine, particulary ophthalmology, and I have a special soft spot for bunnies. I intend to be very involved in building up the Oxted branch region while continuing to organise our Medivet CPD with John and Anna.
Haley Gaywood – South East Area Manager
I have always had a passion for animals from an early age. I started my career in the veterinary profession when I was 16 years old as a PCA. I worked in a private practice whilst I was at college and continued here until I finished my BSc (Hons) in Animal Management. I then started working at Medivet and quickly took a position at their newly aquired practice, Chafford Hundred. I have been climbing the career ladder ever since. I went on maternity leave in November 2013 to have my gorgeous son, Harrison and returned to my wonderful team in December 2014. At home I have lots of lovely fur-babies including my dogs, cat, rabbits and ducks.
Roule Stam – South East London Area Manager
I started my career as a veterinary surgeon after graduating from Onderstepoort in South Africa and later moved into practice management. I enjoy working as an area manager in the Dartford region and also with the rest of my ‘Medivet family’ in the wider area. Over the years I have had a number of pets, including dogs and cockatiels. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and growing vegetables and flowers on my allotment.
