Veterinary Surgeons

Laura PonsLaura Pons Diviu - Head Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified in Barcelona in 2010 and went on to work there for 2 and a half years in a veterinary hospital where I was in charge of consultations and emergencies. I have a special interest in reproduction and neonatology; I am currently studying for a postgraduate qualification in that area through the ESVPS. I joined Medivet in September 2013.

Alice CraveroAlice Cravero – Mobile Veterinary Surgeon

In July 2015 I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in Italy. Before joining Medivet, I did three internships in Italy in three different practices. I am interested in diagnostic imaging and emergency and critical care. At home I have two cute cats! Outside of work I love going to see movies and working in my garden.

Nursing Team

Elyse McallisterElyse McAllister - Head Veterinary Nurse

I started at Medivet in October 2012. I have really enjoyed studying with the Medivet Training College and I'm so pleased to say i am now a registered nurse. I have had various work experience prior to Medivet including, a week with an equine vet and a week at a dog kennels and rescue centre. At the moment I have pet fish, and black cat called Willow, but I am hoping to add a dog to the family at some point! I have been surrounded by animals since a young age, including dogs, ferrets, goats, cats, rabbits and a hamster!

Becky SilvesterBecky Silvester – Student Veterinary Nurse

I have a degree in zoology from Reading University and have now joined Medivet to train as a veterinary nurse. I am particularly interested in Surgery & Anaesthesia. My parents have a beautiful black Labrador called Ruby who I love visiting and taking for walks. In my spare time I also enjoy going to festivals, travelling and seeing friends all around the country.

Hannah BishopHannah Bishop – Student Veterinary Nurse

I have a BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Plymouth University. Before joining Medivet, I was a volunteer at a zoo. I have a special interest in birds and hope to gain more experience working with them within practice. I have an African Grey Parrot of my own named Ruby and a 1 cat named Tilly. In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach, meeting up with friends and watching Ruby destroy his new toys!

Jade PriorJade Prior - Patient Care Assistant

I have a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare which I received before joining Medivet. I worked as a hydrotherapy assistant with police dogs and in dog training. I have a particular interest in dogs, rodents and rabbits. I really love large breed dogs but I also love pugs. I have many animals of my own at home including 2 dogs, 5 cats, 2 rats, 3 rabbits, mice, a hamster and 1 gerbil! In my spare time I enjoy playing with my pets and walking my dogs. 

Reception Team

I have a National Diploma in Travel & Tourism and a National Award in Horse Management. Before joining Medivet, I worked at Waitrose for six years, a luggage shop and in the VIP lounge at Gatwick airport. I love my job as I get to meet new animals and their owners, and develop relationships with them. I have two cats, called Winston, who is a tabby cat and Harry, who is black and white. Outside of work, I love going to the cinema, shopping, riding horses and spending time with friends and family.
