Verterinary Surgeon

Eduardo GomesEduardo Miguel Gomes - Veterinary Surgeon

My passion for pets and the veterinary area started early. Pets have been in my life since I can remember, and I grew up fascinated with a vet that lived in my village.

Being a veterinary surgeon became one of my main objectives in life. I qualified in 2009 at the University of Porto in Portugal. After training at the University of Tennessee and working in a Portuguese practice, I was welcomed into the Medivet group. I am interested in all aspects of small animal medicine, including the less common exotic and avian patients. I also have a special interest in ultrasound imaging and aim to achieve a post-graduation in internal medicine. I hope to see you soon at the Medivet Binley surgery.

Nursing Team

Tracey DavidsonTracy Davidson - Veterinary Nurse

I have always loved animals and knew that I wanted to work with animals from a very young age. I have been working as a Veterinary Nurse since I was 16 years old and helped out at a local vets near where I lived in Chorley Lancashire before that for a couple of years whilst I was at school. I have worked within Small Animal Practices for over 38 years. I qualified in 1978 and relocated to Coventry. I have been with the Medivet Coventry practice since it was Regent veterinary surgery. I love every minute of the job and look forward to meeting you and your pets at the practice.

Laura Curtis - SVNLaura Curtis - Mobile Student Veterinary Nurse

I have always wanted to work with animals from a young age, having grown up with dogs, horses, cats and a stubborn donkey. Following on from my GCSEs, I took a different path of art, design and photography, which I love as a hobby. I worked for a local kennels and cattery as part of my Duke of Edinburgh award at school which led into a full-time job for 11 years. I have always wanted to become a Veterinary Nurse and I started working for Medivet in April 2012 at the lovely Binley practice. I am currently in my second year of training, and hope to become a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse in August 2015. I'm thoroughly enjoying my training and job with the Binley team.

I have a national diploma in horse management from Morton Morrell College. I also hold a BSc in Animal Science from Essex University which I received in September 2014. I really enjoy all aspects of veterinary care but I have a particular interest in equine. I have two cats at home, one called Elmo and the other Misty. I also have a Jack Russell Terrier called Trooper as well as a greedy Labrador called Berty! When I’m not at work , I enjoy horse riding, dog walking and socialising with my friends.
