Simon Pudsey - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I worked in a large animal practice in Scotland after graduating in 1992. I then moved to Bedfordshire and worked in mixed animal practice for 7 years before moving to the Lake District to work in a small animal practice where I became a partner in 2004, before deciding to move on in late 2010. I have an interest in surgery and have further qualifications in that area.
Carla Maria Pinheiro Costa Leaò – Veterinary Assistant
In July 2011, I graduated from the Oporto University, in Portugal, with a master’s degree in veterinary medicine. Before joining Medivet, I worked as a vet in Portugal for four years. I have a general interest in internal medicine but I have also been taking some courses in ophthalmology and neurology. At home, I have a dog and a cat. In my spare time, I enjoy horse riding, jogging and reading.
Pablo Palmeiro Carballeira – Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated as a veterinary surgeon in May 2015. Before starting Medivet, I was working as a meat hygiene inspector for Eville and Jones. I love my role and the best part for me is consulting. Outside of work, I am a big fan of sports and love football.
Pipa Stewart - Head Veterinary Nurse
I started working with animals when I was 14 and volunteered at my local Veterinary Practice. I joined Medivet at age 17 and then began to study towards becoming a full time Registered Veterinary Nurse. I love my job and can't think of anything else I would rather do; I feel very lucky. I have two pugs who I adore, a Cornish Rex, a handsome tabby & white boy along with an aquarium, a terrapin and a stray rabbit who adopted me called Jeff.
Kerrie Young - Veterinary Nurse
I started working at the Binley Road surgery as a Saturday girl when I left school. I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2008. I have a fair few pets at home including guinea pigs, rabbits, cats and our dachshund Bear!
Christina Alexander - Student Veterinary Nurse
I am a Student Veterinary Nurse at Medivet Coventry. I have always wanted to be a Veterinary Nurse and am very excited to be training towards my dream career. I love all things small and furry, in particular rabbits and rodents. I have a cat, Toby, who is in my profile photo with me. He lost one of his eyes about 10 years ago but it doesn't bother him! I look forward to meeting you and your pets at Coventry.
Lily Crockett – Mobile Student Veterinary Nurse
I have a national diploma in horse management from Morton Morrell College. I also hold a BSc in Animal Science from Essex University which I received in September 2014. I really enjoy all aspects of veterinary care but I have a particular interest in equine. I have two cats at home, one called Elmo and the other Misty. I also have a Jack Russell Terrier called Trooper as well as a greedy Labrador called Berty! When I’m not at work , I enjoy horse riding, dog walking and socialising with my friends.
Laura Curtis - Mobile Student Veterinary Nurse
I have always wanted to work with animals from a young age, having grown up with dogs, horses, cats and a stubborn donkey. Following on from my GCSEs, I took a different path of art, design and photography, which I love as a hobby. I worked for a local kennels and cattery as part of my Duke of Edinburgh award at school which led into a full-time job for 11 years. I have always wanted to become a Veterinary Nurse and I started working for Medivet in April 2012 at the lovely Binley practice. I am currently in my second year of training, and hope to become a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse in August 2015. I'm thoroughly enjoying my training and job with the Binley team.
Adi Nell - Senior Partner and Head of Professional Relations
I graduated in 1992 and gained my Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology in 1998. I have worked as an assistant, locummed for over five years and ran a dermatology referral practice. I was the Resident in Dermatology at the Animal Health Trust and spent time at Cambridge Vet School, too. I joined Medivet in 2002 as a Partner in Hayes, and moved into the senior partnership later that year. I am very active in representing Medivet to the wider profession and have served on BVA Committees and as President of the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons.
Louise Ronan - Senior Area Manager
I've been one of Medivet's Area Managers since 2009. Prior to working for Medivet I spent 15 years in veterinary practice. I did my veterinary nurse training in Essex and then moved to Oxford to work as a qualified nurse before being promoted to head nurse at a veterinary practice in Wantage. Whilst there I acheived a Diploma in Management Studies but was unable to utilise my new found skills fully. Luckily for me, Medivet bought my practice and the current area manager was retiring so I was able to step into her role. I now look after branches in Oxford, Coventry and Reading and work with wonderful, caring teams in all areas. At home I live with my partner Shawn, three chickens and two tortoises. I've only been a chicken owner for a couple of years but there is a real danger of me turning into a crazy chicken lady as I absolutely adore them!
